Annotated, [in his own handwriting], ‘Walter Seymour, Secretary to the Grand Jury, Co. Galway, 1884’, and other notes, also a newspaper cutting pasted into the front cover board from 1891, and another pasted into back cover 1897, would indicate volume was also used by his son, Walter G. Seymour, who succeeded his father as Secretary to the GJ, and was appointed 1st County Secretary to Galway County Council when it was established in 1899.
