Handwritten register for boys, register numbers 315 to 735, recording pupil details, such as name, date of entrance, register number, age, residence, occupation or means of living of parents (such as e.g. gardener, servant, farmer, and labourer), the date (written as 8/42 i.e. Aug 1842) entered into various classes, such as reading classes 1 to 5, arithmetic, grammar, geography, book-keeping, mensuration (the act, process, or art of measuring / Measurement of geometric quantities) and algebra, date of leaving, and cause of removal and destination of pupil (e.g. unknown, illness, and left town).
