    -Letter from the OPW to Galway County Council referring to the extension to the Pier, which was constructed under the Marine Works Act 1902 at a cost of £1,949.4.0., and the possible transfer of lease of the control and management of the pier to the Galway County Council (1906-04-20).

    -Draft lease between Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland and Galway County Council, includes map of pier (1906).

    -Letter from the OPW to Galway County Council advising that as the Council has declined to ‘lease that portion of Roundstone Pier which was extended’ under the 1902 Act, and advising it is now a matter for the Board ‘to decide what tolls and dues shall be charged for boats using the extension’ (1907-07-03), and ongoing letters from the OPW in pursuit of a response from the Council on what rate is to be levied.

    -Letter from the Local Government Board to Galway County Council stating ‘It appears that no Tolls or Dues have been levied hitherto in connection with any of these works, and the question being now under consideration, the Board are in the first instance anxious to obtain the view of the County Council as to whether any, and if so, what object exists to charging tolls or dues at these Piers’ (1908-09-25).

    -Letter from Galway County Council Secretary [Seymour] to Major R Fair advising that the requirement for ‘all sorts of live saving apparatus, lights etc, to be put up on the Marine Works under the Control of the County Council’ resulted in the Council decline the lease and ‘I have personally no doubt that these matters have had a deterrent effect on the Council in connection with this matter for some time’ (1908-09-19).

    -Copy Galway County Council minutes stating tolls ‘were agreed to’ (1909-02-08).

    -Correspondence relating to an obstruction at the Harbour (1910).

    -Letter from the OPW to Galway County Council relating to an application by B Ruane & Sons for approval to ‘cure fish on the piers at Roundstone’  (1910-06-06).

    -Appointment of Patrick O’Donnell (son of the former Master, deceased) as Harbour Master at Roundstone at salary of £8 pa (1926-08-12).
